Cherokee Retreat Center is Cherokee Presbytery of Northwest
Georgia's Summer Camp and year round retreating facility. It is located on 100 acres
of beautiful forested land with more than two miles of Lake Allatoona shoreline.
During the summer, our retreat center serves as a summer camp. When not in use for summer camp, our
facilities are available for rent for conferences, meetings, and retreats. Our
primary service is to groups affiliated with Cherokee Presbytery, but our
facilities are open to anyone. Visit our rentals
section for more information on year round conference center
information.
Cherokee Retreat Center and all of it's staff seek to create
opportunities for Christian growth while living in a caring, safe, fun Christian
community and environment. With God's guidance, we seek to play a positive role
in nurturing children, youth and adult's faith in Jesus Christ, through creative
Bible study, worship, interacting with creation, encouraging self-awareness and
sensitivity towards others.

CRC’s unique purpose is to provide an environment
where people of all ages can:
Retreat from the secular world
Grow in authentic Christian faith
Be transformed
by the Spirit
Return to
transform the world of their daily lives
OVERALL GOALS
FOR
CAMPERS
Camping is an integral part of the church’s program of
Christian Education. Within a 24
hour-a-day setting, church camping offers a unique opportunity to participate
in Christian communal living as each camper and counselor is challenged to grow
in, explore and act on their Christian faith.
Nature is to be discovered and enjoyed and is a means to
bring campers and counselors to an awareness of God as Father, Creator, and
Redeemer. Living within God’s creation
and caring for that creation through a variety of activities and
responsibilities allows campers and counselors to understand and practice
servant leadership, as modeled by Jesus Christ.
