Director - Kelly Howington

Having grown up in Cartersville, Georgia, Kelly comes
back to us with an M.Ed. in Recreation Administration from the University of
Georgia and a B.S. in Business Administration from Presbyterian College in
Clinton, SC.
His deep dedication and love for Christian Camping is
directly tied to his many wonderful summers as a camper and staff member here at
Cherokee Retreat Center. After Graduating from Presbyterian College ('98),
Kelly and his wife Jean co-interim directed Mid-Kentucky Presbytery's Camp Cedar
Ridge and following the completion of his masters degree in 2001, Kelly went on
to serve as Interim Director for Foothills Presbytery's Camp Buc (SC). From
January 2003 Until September 2004, Kelly was serving as Executive director for
Transylvania Presbytery's (KY) Burnamwood Camp and Conference Center when he
accepted the call to return home to Cartersville and Cherokee Retreat Center

WIth a wealth of professional and Presbyterian polity experience and skill, Betty serves as administrative assistant and Presbytery Receptionist in the Cherokee Presbytery Office. Fielding many of the summer camp related phone calls and lending invaluable leadership in the publication and dissemination of literature, she is truly an indespensible asset to our ministry. |
