The minimum deposit and signed contract are required within two weeks of making your reservation in order to confirm your reservation. Tentative reservations will only be held for 15 days without a deposit; beyond that, the reservation is removed from the calendar and a deposit will only be accepted if space is still available.
Reservation Date Change
If your confirmed date needs to be changed, we offer a one-time transfer of the total deposit to an available date within four months of original confirmed date or a future date approved by Cherokee Retreat Center. After that time, the total deposit will be forfeited if not used.
Security Deposit
A Security Deposit of $50.00 per building reserved is required in addition to the total reservation cost. The security deposit is due with your 2nd payment toward your reservation. This deposit will be held and refunded within two weeks after satisfactory exit inspection by the site manager. It will be mailed from Cherokee Presbytery after your stay. See guidelines and rules for complete explanation. You will be billed for repairs and/or replacements due to damage or loss.
(Firearms , alcohol use, drug use, smoking in non-designatedareas, or having pets on site results in total and immediate loss of Security Deposit.)
Forfeiture Of Deposit
Groups that cancel a confirmed reservation within 10 days of their scheduled arrival date will forfeit their total deposit and are not eligible to transfer their deposit to another date.
Balance Due
Any Balance Due must be in the office of Cherokee Presbytery no later than 2 weeks prior to arrival date. Failure to have full payments made prior to arrival could result in cancellation of reservation and minimum rates will apply.
Linens
Each person will need to furnish their own sleeping bags or linens, blankets, pillows, towels, pool towels and other personal articles. If your group wishes to use
our linen service, linen packets are available at $4.00 each.
Food Service
Cherokee Retreat Center now contracts with a local fine dining caterer to provide food service at cost to our guests. If you are interested in having us take care of your food service needs, please indicate this in writing during the reservation process and a menu and price list will be provided to you. Once the menu has been selected we take care of the rest for you.
